In the winter semester 08/09 Linke.SDS Education Association, the organization began with the reading of a new capital movement. At over 20 universities were founded reading groups. There was attended by thousands of people, including not only students. Critical scholars such as Elmar Altvater, Alex Demirovic and Frank Deppe actively support the project.
Last year was a ghost into the mainstream media: Karl Marx. hit by the crisis on the head, shattered fantasies of a crisis-free capitalist economy. The relevance of Marx's analysis has been shown so again. The success of the reading groups shows that the need for alternative explanations beyond the neo-liberal mainstream is still present.
This semester starts the reading circle and at Mainz University. All interested are cordially invited to attend the opening event
